Human Resources Assistant

Ensure all new hires receive Company and Property "Required" training.
Assist with new employee paperwork; enter into Lawson within 24 hours.Ensure all paperwork and I-9's are completed before employees begin work.Maintain compliance with record retention guidelines.Create new and replacement name badges/IDs for employees.Aid with the distribution of employee uniforms.Other duties assigned. Organize and facilitate new employee orientation programs.Develop, update and publish monthly training calendar.Arrange, facilitate and support TIPS/alcohol prevention training.Coordinate, schedule and assist with ServSafe training events.Input training completed into the Learning Management System (LMS).Prepare monthly activities calendar with at least two activities scheduled weekly.Collaborate with the Human Resources Manager to plan, schedule and lead employee recreation events.Responsible for communication/bulletin boards and posted information.
Experience in administrative and clerical work.General knowledge of computer and office systems.Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.Willingness to learn.Ability to communicate effectively with Human Resources Manager and others.Ability to manage the office in a professional manner in the absence of the HR Manager.Ability to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
